Weekendinvesting started something called a Service assurance plan.
The plan ensured that subscriptions continue getting advice regardless of the period beyond the subscription period until a internal benchmark was crossed for each portfolio before the user paid for the next round of subscription .
For instance, those who came in small-cap products at the peak in 2018 are still getting the current advice and are not to pay anything post their initial subscription they paid back then, till this internal hurdle is crossed.
This was an industry first, and a genuine attempt to align the interests of the clients with that of the advisor ( me)
The new SEBI circular now prohibits this kind of a assurance to be given post Sept 30 2020.
SO WHAT CHANGES FOR YOU…
1. For any existing user who is already subscribed or will subscribe till Sept 30th 2020, the Service Assurance Plan will remain valid till it reaches its logical conclusion.
2. For users who will come in post Sept 30th ( whenever we re-open for new users) this Service Assurance plan will NOT be available on ANY product
We feel with the performance we have shown in the last 5 years despite the vagaries of the markets, investors can feel rest assured with us that their interest will remain secure in some form or the other.!
