The stock market weekly review for the week ended November 6th highlighted a significant turnaround as Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) returned to the Indian market in force after an extended period. Across global markets, conditions remain challenging as the artificial intelligence trade unwinds. As previously anticipated, the turning of the AI trade has shifted investor focus toward non-AI markets, a classification that includes India. A major reallocation of funds is underway, with fresh capital steering away from US equities.

Significant market damage in AI-heavy regions like Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea is prompting capital withdrawals for reallocation to other regions. Coupled with a drop in crude oil prices, these factors provided a favorable backdrop for Indian equities.

Nifty – Weekly Chart Perspective

A single weekly candle representing an 8.5% gain captured the dramatic shift in market dynamics. The index held firm at the crucial support level of 22,200 and broke above the key resistance of 24,700. Price action where the opening price marks the low and the closing price touches the high indicates a genuine change in market sentiment rather than a temporary dead cat bounce.

Trend reversals of this magnitude are typically driven by significant global events, which in this instance was the US midterm elections. Anticipated political regime changes over the next couple of years, potential shifts in presidential powers, and legislative bills introduced by US Senate and House Democrats to regulate AI trading, semiconductor chips, and data centers have reshaped sentiment surrounding the tech sector.

S&P 500 Overview

Global asset classes experienced varying impacts from these developments. While the S&P 500 declined 2.68% due to its broader diversification, the tech-focused Nasdaq dropped over 6% in a single trading session.

GOLD Overview

Gold rose nearly 4% for the week to reach 14,128, and the Indian Rupee strengthened against the US Dollar with USD/INR moving 1.1%, even as US dollar gold prices increased.

Crude Oil, USD/INR & India Vix Overview

Brent Crude oil experienced a sharp collapse of 13.6%. Political debates around the US midterm elections focused heavily on voter dissatisfaction with US military involvement abroad and the resulting domestic inflation. Addressing inflationary pressure requires an end to ongoing conflicts, driving down UK and Brent oil prices. Although the India VIX and Dollar Index rose slightly, falling oil prices remained the dominant macroeconomic driver.

Global Indices Overview

Regional market performance showed a stark contrast between Asia-Pacific indices: Japan and South Korea dropped nearly 10% and 13% respectively for the week, whereas India gained nearly 10% on the Nifty 50 and 8.4% on the Nifty 500. Over one-month, three-month, and six-month horizons, India has emerged as the top-performing market in dollar returns, standing out while South Korea and Japan lost 12.5% over the trailing three months.

Global Momentum

While trailing one-year returns for Indian equities remain modest, the recent momentum suggests a stronger positioning by year-end. Global momentum rankings show Nifty escalating rapidly from bottom tiers to the top spot across weekly, monthly, three-month, and six-month frames. Following Nifty in top rankings are Canada, Nifty 500, FTSE, Dow Jones, and Germany, while Brazil, South Korea, Japan, and the Nasdaq dropped significantly lower.

Benchmark Indices Overview

The weekly rally was heavily concentrated in large-cap equities. Over the past month, small caps and mid caps did not participate as the Nifty advanced nearly 10%, driven by sudden FII inflows into large-cap names. If the rally continues, capital is expected to filter into lower market-cap segments over time.

Sectoral Overview

Sectorally, capital markets, financial services, autos, oil and gas, private banking, and real estate each registered gains near 10%. Portfolios that had previously suffered heavy drawdowns of 30% to 50% experienced the strongest relative performance, whereas portfolios with lower drawdowns saw more muted participation.

Sectoral momentum was strongest in capital markets, private banks, and financial services, while FMCG lagged noticeably. Weakness in FMCG remains a key area to monitor, as a sustained consumption-driven market relies on broad FMCG participation.

Introducing All Seasons

Markets reward patience — but rarely make it easy.
Even index investors — owning India’s top 50 companies through the Nifty 50 — struggle to stay the course. Drawdowns hurt, flat markets drain conviction, and emotions often break compounding faster than crashes do.

That’s exactly why we built All Seasons — a simple, rule-based strategy that helps you stay invested through every phase of the market by dynamically balancing between Nifty 50 (for growth) and Gold (for stability).

📈 Growth — Nifty 50
Own India’s strongest 50 companies — the backbone of our economy. Participate in the nation’s long-term growth story without picking stocks or timing entries.

🛡️ Stability — Gold
Crises strike without warning. Gold rises when equities stumble — acting as your portfolio’s natural hedge and emotional anchor.

⚙️ The Engine Behind It
All Seasons shifts allocations every fortnight based on market conditions:

  • When equities run hot, exposure trims automatically.
  • When they’re beaten down, the system increases weight.
  • Gold moves in the opposite direction — balancing every phase.

No guesswork. No emotion. No fear of missing out — just a calm, intelligent portfolio that adapts to markets for you.

Who is this for?
✅ Index investors who want smoother participation
✅ New investors who prefer ETFs over stock-picking
✅ Professionals who can’t invest in direct equities
✅ Seasoned investors looking to add stability to their core
✅ Anyone who wants to stay in control without daily decisions

Price: ₹4,999 per year
Recommended Capital: ₹2–30 lakh
