Market conditions showed little change this week, marking the ninth consecutive period of downward movement. The Indian equity market continues to be impacted by persistent headwinds that have troubled performance over the past two months, including elevated crude oil prices, high US bond yields, and ongoing Foreign Institutional Investor outflows.

Nifty – Weekly Chart Perspective

During the week, the Nifty was the single bright spot among domestic benchmarks, gaining 2.78%. The index successfully bounced off a critical support level near 22,000, securing the benchmark primarily tracked by large funds. Real market concerns will only resurface if this lower boundary is breached again, but for now, market stability has been restored while awaiting further cues.

S&P 500 Overview

Adding to the positive outlook for India is the slump in US artificial intelligence stocks, which could shift fund allocation from AI categories toward non-AI plays. Because India had increasingly been treated as a non-AI trade, this rotation presents a constructive sign.

GOLD Overview

Conversely, gold struggled, falling 2.57% over the course of the week.

Crude Oil, USD/INR & India Vix Overview

In the macro pulse, the USD/INR exchange rate improved from 96.78 down to 94.95 following new measures introduced by the Reserve Bank of India, resulting in a substantial visible decline on the currency chart after reaching an all-time high.

Brent crude oil experienced a dramatic overnight surge, jumping from 104 to 109, which places it near new weekly and monthly closing highs. This sharp move will hurt market sentiment and require pricing adjustments when trading opens on Monday.

Meanwhile, the India VIX index pulled back, and the Dollar Index also eased slightly during the week.

Global Indices Overview

Global indices offered limited enthusiasm overall, though India outperformed on a dollar-denominated basis due to local strength in the Nifty combined with currency movements, albeit not a milestone for celebration. Over a one-year horizon, India remains the worst-performing global market at -16%, compared to impressive gains of 54% in Brazil and 60% in South Korea. Asian markets faced widespread pressure during the week, with South Korea declining, the Nikkei dropping 5%, and the Hang Seng in China dipping before mounting a recovery.

In the United States, the Nasdaq fell 4.5%, reflecting a sharp pullback in technology and AI stocks.

Global Momentum

Regionally, momentum scores place Brazil, Japan, and the United Kingdom at the top, while the Hang Seng, Russell, and France occupy the bottom tier. The Nifty and Nifty 500 have moved up into the middle rank, bringing positive momentum to domestic indices.

Benchmark Indices Overview

Looking at domestic benchmark indices over the past week, the Nifty 50 led the charge, while the Nifty 500 advanced 1.8% and the Nifty Next 50 gained 1.2%. Mid-cap and small-cap stocks rested, which is understandable given their strong performance over the previous six months, prompting increased market focus on them. However, across a three-month period, performance across all market caps remains in negative territory. On a one-year basis, small caps reflect a modest 3% gain, mid-caps and the Nifty Next 50 remain flat, and the Nifty is down 9.5%.

Sectoral Overview

Sector performance was predominantly driven by Information Technology, which jumped 11.7%, followed by Media up 6% and Services gaining 4.8%, while all other sectors remained muted. Over a one-month timeframe, IT and Media stand as the only performing sectors, as every other sector sits near zero or in negative territory, save for Services with a 2.3% gain.

Sectoral momentum rankings show relative strength in Media, Defense, and IT, whereas Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSCs), Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), PNC, Multinational Companies (MNCs), and Public Sector Companies (PSCs) sit at the bottom. Energy continues to underperform, whereas Real Estate and Autos show very short-term signs of picking up with expectations of upward movement next week. Conversely, Pharma and Banking sectors were pushed lower during the week.

Introducing All Seasons

Markets reward patience — but rarely make it easy.
Even index investors — owning India’s top 50 companies through the Nifty 50 — struggle to stay the course. Drawdowns hurt, flat markets drain conviction, and emotions often break compounding faster than crashes do.

That’s exactly why we built All Seasons — a simple, rule-based strategy that helps you stay invested through every phase of the market by dynamically balancing between Nifty 50 (for growth) and Gold (for stability).

📈 Growth — Nifty 50
Own India’s strongest 50 companies — the backbone of our economy. Participate in the nation’s long-term growth story without picking stocks or timing entries.

🛡️ Stability — Gold
Crises strike without warning. Gold rises when equities stumble — acting as your portfolio’s natural hedge and emotional anchor.

⚙️ The Engine Behind It
All Seasons shifts allocations every fortnight based on market conditions:

  • When equities run hot, exposure trims automatically.
  • When they’re beaten down, the system increases weight.
  • Gold moves in the opposite direction — balancing every phase.

No guesswork. No emotion. No fear of missing out — just a calm, intelligent portfolio that adapts to markets for you.

Who is this for?
✅ Index investors who want smoother participation
✅ New investors who prefer ETFs over stock-picking
✅ Professionals who can’t invest in direct equities
✅ Seasoned investors looking to add stability to their core
✅ Anyone who wants to stay in control without daily decisions
